Susan Estler currently works as a marketing professional and resides in Marquette, Michigan on Lake Superior. She has worked in sterling silver, copper and brass since 2005 and has started incorporating enameled copper into her work in recent years. Found objects, personal items and natural themes are core to her designs.
Susan attended Parson School of Design for Communication Design. She has been a member of Florida Society of Goldsmiths since 2007, SNAG and the American Crafts Council since 2017. She also joined the Society of Midwest Metalsmiths, The Enamelist Society and the Enamel Guild North East in the last year. Joining these organizations has allowed her to take classes with John Cogswell, Anne Havel, Jayne Redman and Jamie Bennett. These selfless instructors have been instrumental in furthering her metalsmithing and enameling skills.
