Joy Bender Hadley is an artist, art educator with a broad array of work experience in the arts; from her work in New York City as a designer’s assistant & freelance illustrator, to her stint as a visual merchandising manager, and her years as a history museum curator of exhibits. Now her favorite places to be are in her art studio, in one of her art classrooms, or working with the artists from the Marquette Artist Collective, which Joy is the founder of.
Along with Joy’s artistic endeavors she is an award winning Art Educator and community Arts Volunteer. She has been an Artist-in-Residence in multiple places and venues. She believes in the importance of nurturing creativity in her students, clients and through workshops. Joy started Aurora Artworks where she offers creative consulting, Creativity Coaching, as well as art classes, and fine art.
She is currently the manager of the MAC’s The Gallery.
